Puerto Vallarta is quickly developing a reputation as being the best golf destination in Mexico. Home to seven world-class golf courses, including designs by some of the greatest. There are many golf courses in and around Puerto Vallarta. But some of the most popular are El Tigre, Los Flamingos and Punta Mita. The way you choose where to go will depends on which one is the closest to you. But of course, it’s a lot better if you get to know them all.

Join a Chocolate Making Class
The Choco Museum is one of the many things to do in Puerto Vallarta. If you’re interested in learning the history behind cocoa, plus finding out how chocolate is made (from harvest to production), then the museum is for you.
If you want to get your hands dirty, and eat some delicious chocolate, then make sure to join one of the classes at the Choco Museo. Learn how to make traditional mole sauce, hot chocolate truffles or individual chocolates.

Boating
There are many different tours you can take but the most famous would be whale watching. For three months every year, humpback whales flock to the warm waters of Puerto Vallarta to reproduce themselves and help their little ones grow up.  Whale watching is the highlight of many people’s vacation this time of year, seeing the humpbacks jump out of the water and come crashing down with a mighty splash, or get the treat of a lifetime when seeing a mother with her newborn baby.

Gastronomy
One of the best ways to get to know this destination is through its food. The region is home to a huge variety of restaurants serving up dishes inspired by all corners of the globe, including convenient international buffets available at many of the destination’s world-class resorts. Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit are loaded with potential when it comes to making original gastronomic miracles. You’ll uncover a wide range of flavors along the Malecón Boardwalk alone, so visitors should be sure to come with an appetite and an open mind. For example, Cafe des Artistes, considered one of the finest dining experiences in the region, is serving up classic French cuisine with a Latin twist.

Dancing
There are many different options if you want to learn some dancing with your partner or just make friends. One of them is in the “Plaza Armas”, near the Malecón, every Sunday at 7 pm. You can dance to traditional Mexican music played by a live band. Everyone is welcome and the event is free. this is a city-sponsored weekly event for the whole community, expat, tourist and residents. There are lessons if you need help. Or you can also sit down and relax with a cold beer while you take a glimpse at the real Puerto Vallarta.
