Mezcales

Mezcales owes its name to the maguey plants that once covered these lands, used to produce mezcal by the indigenous communities of the region. For centuries, it was an agricultural zone where families cultivated sugarcane, mango, and coconut, connected to the outside world only by dirt roads.

With the construction of Puerto Vallarta's airport and Federal Highway 200, Mezcales went from being an isolated agricultural village to a strategic point between the airport and northern tourist destinations. This privileged location attracted developers who saw the potential to create an accessible residential zone for tourism workers.

In the last decade, Mezcales has experienced a significant real estate boom.
